It’s easier to say that “I am ‘this way’ or ‘that way.’”
I’m too tall.
I’m too short.
I’m too thin.
I’m too heavy.
The cat puked on the bed.
I’m not smart enough.
I don’t have time.
I don’t have a choice.
It takes the responsibility from you. Ah, easy. No change required.
When success isn’t immediate, it’s easy to walk away. It wasn’t meant to be.
You could be like a politician and just blame circumstances or someone else.
OR you could take responsibility.
You could invent your own success.
Focus on the process and enjoy every minute of it.
The split second that a player crosses the goal line, that moment is over.
The moment you reach your goal, that moment is over.
It cannot be relived no matter how hard you try.
Define who you are and what you do and be present in the moment.
Then move on to next.
The only thing that continues is the process. Focus on that. That is where happiness lives.
You define your response to circumstances. Circumstances don’t define you.
The best stories are the comebacks.
